Dee Cascio's Bio
I believe that life is a series of phases that we transition through and I have been fortunate to have had four separate careers. I began my first career in education as a classroom teacher after completing my B. A. in Education at Elmira College. I began my second career as a secondary school counselor after completing my M. S. in Counseling at the University of Scranton.
In the third phase of my career, after moving from New York to Virginia, I trained for and received my license to practice psychotherapy in the state of Virginia. I have had a successful private practice for the last 25 years, helping individuals and couples achieve healthier, more satisfying lives. As I began my psychotherapy practice, I also married and became a step-parent.
The fourth phase of my career brought an interest in the field of coaching. I am now a certified Life and Retirement Coach after completing my training and credentialing at Coach U and later at Retirement Options. In both my psychotherapy and coaching practices, I enjoy helping people create the life they desire amidst the challenges of daily living and the transition periods we all experience.
